Help with a messiah 2`d silver PS2

Bought a messiah 2`d silver PS2 just before the new year and it played fine up until now

Whatever i try playing now (PAL or import) it keeps throwing me back to the screen with the memory cards

can anyone offer any advice please

I had a similar prob too when i first got my ps2 chipped, funnily enough it plays every time now. didnt change anything right enough.

I used to do this so it might help:

If the disc is not booting then switch it off at the back ,leave for 10 secs switch on, then power up, open the disc tray, place your game inside, then blip the power switch and it should load first time.

This worked most of the time for me.

If that doesnt work then I used to switch the console on at the front but when I did this I pressed the power button at the fron twice very quickly.

Also ensure the unit has enough ventilation as if it gets a bit warm then it might not work so good.

My silver Messaiah PS2 does the same thing:

The trick is to either boot the console with the game already in the PS2....or hold down the eject button for 10 second immediatly after turning the machine on.

Games should work fine then...well they do one mine. Supposedly this is supposed to switch modes from PS2 to PSone but I find everything works trying either method.
